At Leash we're running
a dog jogging service of Coon Rapids and surrounding areas

Our Mission...
The mission of At Leash we're running is to ensure that your dog receives a safe, healthy, respectable and enjoyable run.   I take the responsibility of jogging your dog very seriously.  From the moment you release "Rocky" and place him in my care, I take on the added responsibility of ensuring the your dog is looked after from start to finish.  My care starts with the health of your dog.

HEALTH
Before I start off on an exercise regiment with your dog, I sit down with you, the owner, and develop a plan to determine what is the best course of action to improve your dog's health and vitality.  Has your dog been more of a couch potato lately? Or perhaps you have taken him on his daily walk, but just aren't ready to run the next 5 K with him.  Much like human conditioning, dogs need to "get in shape" too.   We will develop a exercise program that will improve overtime and get him in great physical shape.

I will continue to monitor your dog's health before, during, and after each run.  We start with a warm up walk, followed by a jog, and ending with a cool down walk - all the while checking on your dog for signs of overheating and other ailments.  I promise never to place your dog in an unhealthy situation.  Dogs need plenty of water when working out.  We take mandatory water breaks along the way.  I always have water available for your dog.

SAFETY
I cannot stress how important I consider safety in jogging dogs.  Whether it is crossing a busy street or avoiding the dog that just got lose from his leash, my concern for your dog's safety is always on my mind during any jog.  We will go out of our way to avoid unsafe situations.  When I make my visit, we will discuss your neighborhood and develop jogging routes in order to minimize unsafe traffic areas or questionable dogs.  Your dog's health and safety will always be at the forefront of any exercise program.

Respect
Your neighbors need to feel assured that their property is respected.  Your dog may not understand all the city ordnances or that the nice green grass yard next door would be a great place to relieve himself.  As nature calls, we will be respectful of your neighbors property and try to avoid the neighbors yard.  Of course, I will have my "doggie bag" at the ready should there be a need to clean up the poop.

Enjoyment
Your dog and I will develop a running partnership.  It is based on trust, friendship, and a joy to get out for a nice run. When you dog returns after his run, I will offer a treat and hand over your dog to you.  Don't be alarmed if you find that your dog may just seem a little more rested, relaxed, and well-behaved.  These are the overall results of a good exercise regiment.
