My name is Robert Ahles, owner and founder of At Leash we're running. Over the past 30 years, I have had the opportunity and good fortune to put on hundreds and hundreds of miles running and jogging.  Whether jogging in my neighborhood of Coon Rapids, or having the opportunity to go for a run in places like Garmish Germany, Seoul South Korea, or Camp Virginia, Kuwait, I have found a common theme wherever I run...."Dogs love to run".  

The idea of jogging dogs came with my weekly jogs in Fort Snelling State Park.  I could always count on a dog or two wanting to join me on my run.  The owner would have his or her dog off the leash and before you know it, the dog was taking off from his easy stroll and joining me for a run. I would stop, wait for the owner to call back his or her dog, and continue to jog.  With similar results for 3 years, I knew one thing for sure...."Dogs love to run".  

With my passion for jogging and the need for a good, well-balanced healthy lifestyle for your dog, I do believe that At Leash we're running may be a great addition to your dog's exercise regiment. 



Hobbies:  I continue to stay active in a variety of sports.  I enjoy running, cross-country and downhill skiing, and inline-skating, or just going for a leisurely hike with my wife at a state park.  I have completed two Twin-Cities Marathons, countless 5 and 10 K events, and about a half dozen inline marathons. 

Education:  Bachelor of Science degree, University of Minnesota (1988).  

Employment:  Presently working for Veterans Affairs and recently retired from the US Army Reserve.
